Hello everyone Smiley

I'm a brand newbie here but have been posting on the Wildcamping forum for a while. A friend told me about the Hampshire Camping Fest and we've been lucky enough to get a spot, so thought I'd pop over here to at least say hello.

Martin and I camped for many years with tents and eventually a trailer tent - from when we were first married until the kids became teenagers and too cool to camp apparently! Plus we had a posting to America around that time, so we said farewell to our old Raclet and became accustomed to the motel/hotel life. After a break of around 20 years, we bought a second-hand Compass motorhome last September and are really enjoying getting back into the camping scene, especially now that we're retired (or just jobless in my case!) with plenty of leisure time Wink  There are so many amazing places we want to visit on this lovely island of ours and we're excited about getting started on our adventure and making new friends.  We've already met some lovely people from the Wildcamping forum at a small gathering... although we've yet to actually try wilding anywhere! It's also an amazing resource and comfort to be surrounded by people who are so great at the maintenance and DIY side of motorhomes - especially for newbies like us.  Campers are the best!

Fingers crossed for lots of good weather this year and we look forward to meeting some of you in August.

Jennie and Martin Smiley
